BRAISEWORTH TM 17 SW 1/3 Rectory Farmhouse -
-- II Farmhouse. Early C17 3-cell main range with later C17 wing set forward to left forming L-shape plan. Renovated 1960's. Timber framed and plastered, plaintiled roof. 2 storeys, attic in main range. Various mid C20 casement windows. Mid C20 glazed door in position of lobby entry, set in a slightly projecting 2-storey entrance addition. Internal stack has 3 tall shafts grouped in sawtooth form. Gable stack to later wing. Interior. Considerably modernised. Axial ceiling beams in hall and parlour, the joists concealed. Plain first floor studding. Clasped purlin roof. Later wing incorporates re-used components of C16 or earler. Interior not fully examined.
