DEBENHAM ASPALL ROAD TM 16 SE 6/52 Gull Farmhouse - GV II
Farmhouse. Late C16. Timber framed, mainly roughcast-rendered, the left gable end faced in colourwashed brick to eaves level. Pantiled roof. 3-cell form. 2 storeys. Mid C20 casement windows with a single horizontal glazing bar to each light. Mid C20 semi-glazed door. Internal stack: axial shaft of late C19 red brick with white brick dressings; central vertical band of brick set diamondwise, corbelled cap. Interior. Modernised, with concealed studding. Hall ceiling has axial floorbeam and plain joists set flat. The parlour cell was apparently unheated, an unusual arrangement. Roof has clasped and butt purlins with cranked wind braces.
