Details
OCCOLD CHURCH LANE TM 17 SE 1/35 Church Farmhouse 29.7.55 - II Farmhouse. Late C16/early C17, with alterations and additions of C18 and later. A long main range with service cross-wing to left and a further gable to the right. Timber framed, mainly roughcast-rendered. Plaintiled roof except outer slope of service wing which is pantiled. 2 storeys and attic. Both gables are supported on plain brackets. Remainder of facade has moulded eaves cornice. Various casement windows of C20 date. Central 2-storey canted bay and to the left of this a flat-roofed ground floor addition with mid C20 French windows. Late C19 canted bay to right with 9-paned sash window. Mid C20 entrance door. One flat-roofed dormer with mid C20 standard window. 2 internal stacks with plain oblong shafts. Interior considerably altered, very little of the timbers exposed. Parlour has heavy wooden dentil cornice of mid C18 date.
