II
House. Early C17. A 2-cell front range with contemporary service wing to rear forming T-shape plan. Timber framed and plastered, the facade lined in imitation of ashlar. Fretted bargeboards to main range. Slated roof. 2 storeys and attic, Casement windows of c.1900 with horizontal glazing bars. Small original first floor window. Internal stack with rendered square shaft, set behind the roof ridge at the junction with the service range. C18 rear lean-to with boarded and battened door. Hall and parlour have axial bridging beams with nicked ogee stop-chamfers; chamfered joists and mid rails, all with
ogee stops. Plain studding with braces on the outside. Roof over main range has clasped and butt purlins, the wind-bracing removed. Newel stairs. Several good original doors with moulded faces. 2-cell service range, once extending further to rear, the original roof lost.
