Details
OAKLEY LOWER OAKLEY TM 17 NE 2/136 The Green Man II House, latterly a public house. Some C16 work in rear wing but mainly second half of C17 and later. L-shape plan with 3-cell front range. Timber framed, mainly plastered, the front range lined in imitation of ashlar. Thatched roof. 2 storeys. 3 windows, late C19/ early C20 3-light mullioned casements. Wooden hoodmoulds. Lobby entrance with mid C20 door. Each range has an internal stack: the front has 4 octagonal shafts with star caps, the rear stack 2 similar shafts; all are in C19 white brick. Interior much altered C19 and C20 with little of the structure visible.
