House, originally a farmhouse. In 2 main sections: early C17 parlour cell to
right; left hand range probably C18, replacing earlier work. Earlier section
timber framed, later range probably clay lump, all plastered. Pantiled roofs.
2 storeys, part with attic. Casement windows, mainly of C19 date. Parlour
cell has an C18 ground floor window with square-leaded panes and a hoodmould;
above is an original 5-light window with ovolo mullions. Boarded entrance
door. Gable end facing road has mid C19 small-paned metal casements with
cusped heads to the upper panes; wooden hoodmoulds. Gable stack at the
junction of the 2 ranges. Left hand range has 2 additions, the one to the
rear formerly used as a Post Office. Parlour cell has intact framing; ovolo-
moulded floorbeam in ground floor ceiling.
