TM 07 NE WORTHAM RECTORY ROAD (NORTH WEST SIDE) 1/178 The Hemplands -

House, latterly 2 or 3 dwellings. C16, floor and stack inserted and extended C17, altered C20. Timber frame, exposed studding with plastered infill. Thatched roof. Originally a 2 bay open hall extended by 1 bay to left or service end and 2 bays to right or upper end. 1 storey and attic. Exposed studding to front has larger scantling and wider spacing to early bays, closer studding to left, smaller scantling to right. Boarded doors to original lower bay and between 2 added bays to right, scattered C19 and C20 glazing bar casements, two 2-light dormers with eyebrow thatching. Ridge stack inserted in upper bay of original hall. Gable end attic lights, pentice boards. To rear early diamond mullioned windows and a smal oven outshut behind stack, a pantiled lean-to additon to rear right. Interior not inspected.
