Details
FRESSINGFIELD LOW ROAD TM 27 NE 10/42 The Lodge - GV II
Cottage. C16. Timber framed and plastered with a thatched roof. 1 1/2 storeys. Various old casement windows. A C19 door at the north gable end. Central axial stack. Internally much of the structure, which is in 2 bays, is exposed. The upper floor and the stack are probably later insertions. C17 newel stairs; to one side of the stairs a tall cupboard with plank door on butterfly hinges. Clasped-purlin roof with arched collars and arched wind- bracing.
