Farmhouse. Late C16/early C17, in several phases. Timber framed, plastered
and cement-rendered. Roof plaintiled to front, otherwise pantiled. 2 storeys
and attic. A main range with cross-wings extending to the rear and forming a
U-shape plan. 4 windows, C18 3-light casements with square-leaded panes.
Central doorway with 6-panel raised and fielded door (the upper 2 panels
glazed), pilasters and bracketed cornice. Axial stacks to hall range and to
right hand wing; early C18 gable stack to rear of service wing. Internally
relatively little of the structure is exposed. In the hall range a mutilated
moulded bridging beam and chamfered-joist ceiling. Remains of medieval moat.
