2/149 Bury Lodge - - II
House, probably C17 or earlier; remodelled early C19 as a lodge cottage to Great Finborough Hall. 2-cell plan. 2 storeys. Timber-framed and pebble- dashed. Hipped plaintiled roof, a large early C19 axial cruciform chimney of red brick. Early C19 2-light casements; those at ground storey have triangular panes above the transome, within a square hoodmould; those at 1st storey have triangular heads with a diamond beneath the apex. A prominent gabled C19 2-storeyed porch; at the side is a boarded entrance door with a hoodmoulded pediment.
