HELMINGHAM NEW ROAD TM 15 NE 4/106 Nos 78-79
- II
Pair of estate cottages; built as one house, probably in late C16 or early C17. 2 storeys. 3-cell plan. Timber framed and plastered with some C19 pargetting in large panels. Pantiled roof; a C17 axial chimney, and two C19 end chimneys, all of red brick. Mainly mid C20 small-pane casements. C20 half-glazed panelled door, possibly at cross-passage entrance position. A brick and pantiled lean-to extension was added to either end in mid C19 when the house was subdivided into cottages. Interior not examined.
