Stable, early or mid C17. 2 windows; formerly with lodgings above. Red brick; a band with sawtooth course at 1st floor level and a further moulded band at gable foot. Fine Dutch gables, formerly with finials at gable foot and at apex. In each gable is a circular window, and diaperwork patterning in burnt headers. Corrugated iron roofs, once plaintiled. Oak framed ovolo- moulded mullioned windows in square-headed chamfered brick openings, once with leaded glazing. Ground storey windows have moulded pediments; simulated limestone dressings of plaster, now largely fallen away; both pediments have a square plaster panel bearing the weathered figure of a Gryffon. (one window was converted C19 into a doorway). A damaged original central doorway has a deep moulded cornice with 3 moulded obelisks, all once plastered; partially blocked and with a C20 door, but retaining the original oak door frame. The upper floor is largely removed; a chamfered main beam has one of (formerly) three large acorn pendants. Some chamfered on-edge joists. 2-tier side- purlin roof, the upper tier clasped and wind-braced, the lower tier butted. At the north end is a lower and shorter original range with a communicating door from the loft above the stable. Wind-braced clasped purlin roof and a Dutch gable at the north end. A large mid C20 grainstore (not of special interest), is adjacent to the south side. In poor condition at date of survey.
