THE GREEN 1. 5377 (North East Side) Newton Saracen's Head Inn TL 94 SW 9/735 II
2. A timber-framed building mainly of the C18 but incorporating fragments of an earlier frame. Altered and renovated in the C20. Built on an L shaped plan with wings extending to the north-west and south-west. 2 storeys. 5 window range on the south-east front, mainly C20 casements, and 2 window range on the north-east front, double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The ground storey has 2 canted bays and a central doorway with pilasters and a pediment. Roof tiled, with a large square central chimney stack on the south-west wing.
