A C16-C17 timber-framed and plastered house, possibly with an earlier core. There are cross wings at the north and south ends. The south wing was refronted in the C20 and the north wing has a C19 former shop window bay on the ground storey. Two storeys. 1:2:2 window range, mainly C18 double-hung sashes with glazing bars. (C20 casements to the south wing). At the south end of the main block there is a Tudor arched passage way with exposed timber framing on the inside. Roofs tiled, with a moulded wood eaves cornice to the main block and a central square chimney stack on the south cross wing.
