House, C14 origins with C16 inserted floor and C18 alterations. Timber-frame and painted rubble stone with thatched roof, half-hipped each end, ridge stack and south end stack. One and a half storeys. Leaded light casement windows, some C18, mostly C20. North end wall has jettied upper floor. East front has stone and render chimney wall with blocked former through passage door to left and casement pair beyond. Eaves casement pair in eyebrow dormer above. Exposed framing to right of stack with large gable, original barge boards and pendant finial. Two ground floor casement pairs, one C18, one C20, first floor C18 triple casement. To right, C20 casement pair in rubble stone with exposed timbers above. Rear rebuilt in rubble stone with one C18 triple casement. Datestone IP 1750. C20 south west wing.
Interior: former hall-house with two raised cruck trusses. One surviving windbrace. Exceptional, four panel compartmental ceiling with deep chamfered beams, pyramid-and-bar stops and carved oval panel at centre intersection. Large beam in room to south of passage.
