House. c1700 and early to mid C19. Brick, part diapered, and tiled roofs. 2-storey, attics and cellars. 6 x 2 bays. Of 2 builds, the earlier to the west, 4 bays with central entrance leading to rear stair. Additions to east early to mid C19 and remodelling of earlier section. Addition of 3 bays embracing fourth bay of earlier build. C19 front porch, single storey and fully enclosed, leading to former north-east room. Elevations irregular, 12-pane sashes with gauged brick heads, keystones in earlier work. Rear door probably original front door, half-glazed within tall doorcase. C19 bow window with sashes to rear and canted bay, later C19 to west end. Interior: Good C18 open well stair with twisted balusters and bracketed treads. Entrance hall with classical paper frieze, and fielded panelling with reeded doorcases. C18 or C19. Library, formerly dining room, C19 panelling with bookcases of 1964 and moulded cornice. Classical fire surround.
