Dated 1761 on pair of R.W.P.'S with enriched cast lead heads. 2 storeys and attic,
over basement. Vitreous brick with red quoins and window surrounds. Moulded wood
eaves cornice on brick corbel table. Mansard old tile roof. Flanking chimneys.
Slight projection to central bay. 3 gabled casement dormers. 5 windows on 1st
floor. 3 windows on ground floor and 6-panel central door in panelled reveal with
wood doorcase of three quarter fluted Doric columns, broken moulded and bracketed
entablature and pediment. Segmented arched stable door at right hand. 3 basement
windows. C18 wrot iron rails with urn standards across front. Early C19 extension
to right hand, brick with old tile hipped roof and 3 storey angular bay window.
Nos 42 to 64 (consec) form a group, together with St Peter and St Paul's Church,
and with Nos 65 to 85 (consec), The Sun public House and Nos 88 to 90 (consec).
