Originally part of the Military Hospital of 1799. Isolated block facing
main gate. 2 storeys, timber frame hung with "mathematical" tiles, rusticated
quoins. Hipped slate roof with slightly projecting eaves. Centre of ridge
crowned by good cupola with clock. 5 windows, slightly recessed, sash,
glazing bars, sill band to 1st floor, block sills on ground floor.
Doorway in centre, enclosed porch with round headed entrance added,
possibly contemporary with Jebb's work. Stucco with rusticated architrave,
voussoirs and keystones, cornice and coping above. 2 storey wing to
rear of 2 windows each side as on front, glazing bars intact.
