Details
NETHER WHITACRE BAKEHOUSE LANE SP29SW 5/89 No.1 and Pear Tree Cottage GV II Pair of cottages. Late C17 with C20 alterations and additions. Timber-framed with brick infill panels; plain-tile roof; brick ridge stacks. One storey and attic; irregular framing but in parts 3 tiers of small rectangular panels up to eaves level, and straight braces. 4-window front, mainly C20 casements, 2 C20 canted bay windows to the right, 5 gabled attic dormers. The left hand bay is a late C20 timber-framed addition. 2 C20 doors. Exposed collar-and-tie-beam roof truss to the right hand gable with V-struts above the collar and 3 vertical struts below. Interior not inspected.
