Details

WISHAW GROVE LANE SP19NE (North side) Grove End 2/117 Grounds Farmhouse - II Farmhouse. Mid to late C18. Red brick; plain tile roof; brick ridge stacks to rear wings. Gothic style. Main range aligned east-west facing south with 3 parallel ranges to the rear. 3-storey main house with central gable and flanking 2-storey annexes with dentilled eaves bands. 1:3:1 bays: C20 casements to ground and first floor of main house within C18 openings with segmental heads; the second floor windows are pointed and have Gothic glazing bars and lead cames; the annexes have lancet windows containing casements with Gothic glazing bars. Central C20 glazed door within an C18 opening with pointed overlight, flanked by a pair of blind lancets. The rear has 3 gabled bays with segmental headed openings containing C20 casements. Interior: central through-passage.
