Details
ARLEY SPRING HILL LANE SP28NE (North-west side) 7/9 Stone House - II House. C17, with C19 alterations. Sandstone rubble; right return side rebuilt in C19 brick. Old plain-tile roof, hipped to left; brick central and right corner stacks. L-plan, with wing on right to rear. One storey and attic 2-window range. Early/mid C20 brick lean-to across right end has late C20 door and 3-light casement in return side. Old 3-light casement with horizontal glazing bar on left. Fire window. Early/mid C20 two- and 3-light casements with horizontal glazing bars are set in an area of scored imitation ashlar render; the 2-light window is inserted in a former doorway. Tile-hung dormers have C19/C20 three-light casements with glazing bars. Interior: room to left has ogee stop-chamfered ceiling beam. Large open fireplace has chamfered beam. C19 winder stairs.
