LAPWORTH PACKWOOD LANE SP17SE (West side) Packwood 1/44 Plunge pool approx. 50m NW of Packwood House GV II Plunge pool. c.1680. Red brick basin with stone chamfered coping; brick water faucet with stone quoins and stone ashlar front; stone roof. Round-arched opening to faucet with foliate bracket to keystone, supporting armorial bearing. Worn ogee-shaped stone roof with stone cornice. History: probably built by John Featherston, who probably planted the Yew Garden, traditionally said to represent the "Sermon on the Mount".
