1875 by William Guy for a diving engineer Hewlett. A large mansion in Gothic and Elizabethan styles. Rock-faced stone with plain tile roofs. Picturesque asymmetrical composition with gables, pierced parapet, stone mullion windows and canted bays. Pedimented gable to left with volutes. The salient feature is a large central tower with a circular stair turret and porte cochere with moulded arches and oriel. Smaller embattled tower at north end. Interior: missing a variety of styles of chimney pieces.
