2. C15 to late C16. Continuous range of 2 storey buildings. Nos 9 andn 11 and the New Bowling Green Inn have heavy timber framing exposed. The Inn has curved bracing and considerable modern alterations, including 2 flush dormers, new casements with leaded lights, infilling of roughcast and brick plinth. No 15 has simple C18 brick front with 6-fielded-panel door, simple casements and stone plinth. No 17 has modern casements with no glazing bars and is covered in stucco. All roofs are of old tiles, except to Nos 15 and 17, which are now machine tiled. No 17 has cut bracketed doorhood. VCH, viii, p.443. No 13 retains the structure of a C15 hall house; grading starred for this reason.
