Details

1. 1781 JURY STREET (North Side) No 23 SP 2864 NW 1/113 10.1.53. II GV

2. Once 2 dwellings, Nos 23 and 25. C18 front, wing of circa 1550 with second floor of C17. Ashlar front of 3 storeys 5 windows, with glazing bars. Sashes in plain reveals with key blocks. Plain string bands at first and second floor levels. Projecting plinth. Tuscan pilasters at quoins with full entablature over. Remainder of eaves have small moulded cornice only. Wide central entrance and doorway appear to be C19 alterations which, except for stained glass in fanlight and side lights, have been sympathetically carried out. Steep pitched roof of heavy Welsh slates. VCH, viii, pp. 427, 429.

All the listed buildings on the north side, from Nos 17 to 37, form a group.
