Details

1. 1781 JURY STREET (North Side) No 37 SP 2864 NW 1/116 II GV

2. This house is on the corner of The Butts. Home of Dr James Cooke, surgeon and writer during the time of the Civil War; founded Warwick Baptist Chapel; friend of Dr John Hall. Building probably C16/17 origin. No original work can be seen from the outside except C17 carved panel over the door. Rainwater head dated 1856, possibly the date of exterior facsimile timber framing which is in keeping with the character of the town.

All the listed buildings on the north side, from Nos 17 to 37, form a group.
