BUTLERS MARSTON SP3150 8/22 West Meads
- II
House. Late C17, with early C20 wing. Squared coursed limestone and ironstone, with ironstone quoins, lintels, moulded storey band and plinth. Hipped old tile roof with brick ridge and end stacks, with stone bases. 2 storeys plus attic; 5-window range. U-shaped plan. Door in 2-storey gabled porch on side of wing is C20, with C20 dressed surround, 4-centred arch, hood moulds and label stops. To left and right of porch to both floors wood cross casements with leaded lights. Stone lintels with keyblocks. Central recessed range of main facade has C20 door with dressed surround. 12-pane cross windows with lintels and keyblocks. Cross windows to projecting wings, those to right with leaded lights. Lintels with keyblocks. Large early C20 stone wing attached to rear. Interior not inspected. (V.C.H.: Warwickshire, Vol.5, p.28).
