Public house, late C18-early C19. Lined stucco, C20 tiled roof. Two storeys, 3 bays. Entrance through 6-panelled door between first and second bays, having late C19 gabled porch on brackets. Three canted sashed bays with tiled roofs. Paned 12-pane sashes to first floor. Gable stacks. Forester's Hall attached to right, 1886, painted brick with similar door and porch and assembly room on first floor with large window in gable to street. Datestone initialled JFHS. Rear wing to inn of 3 bays, 2 storeys and attic and central recessed entrance. Tripartite windows to ground floor, 12-pane sashes above.
