BURBAGE MARLBOROUGH ROAD SU 26 SW (east side) 2/47 Toad Cottage and No 12 II
Two cottages in block. C17. Roughcast on brick, with thatched roof. Single storey and attic, 3 bays, the right bay now separated as Toad Cottage with rear wing. To left added bay with slightly lower roof containing garage and stores, extended and gabled to rear and weatherboarded to gable. House has entrance to left bay, half glazed door within open gabled porch. Two and 3-light casement windows and 3 flush dormers. Left bay without windows. Central stack. Interior: Main stack with open fireplace serving central bay, now blocked, which also has spine beam with double diamond chamfer stops. Third bay on left probably original parlour. Added gable stack.
