Late C17, with C18 wing extension and out-building to right. Main building
in coursed rubble with ashlar quoins. Modern pantile roofs, 3 gables
(centre one smaller). 3 storeys, 5 windows, 2-light casements, no glazing
bars, plain architrave surrounds and stone mullions. 1st floor and ground
floor windows have single transoms and all windows have flat moulded cornice
over. Central doorway with square head and moulded architrave surround
under projecting portico with wall pilasters, detached Tuscan columns
and entablature with dentilled cornice, and blocking course. Wing extension
has square-headed doorway with wooden doorcase, 1 sash window above with
glazing bars. Outbuilding is rubble with half-hipped pantile roof; Venetian
window on ground floor sashes with glazing bars in plain reveals, semi-circular-headed
centre light.

The Three Horseshoes and Nos 1 to 4 (consec) Frome Road form a group with
the Liberal Club, The Baptist Chapel, the Congregational Church and Hall
and Nos 6 to 16 (consec) 19 to 22 (consec), 36, 42 to 49 (consec) and Westbury
House, St Margarets Street and No 1 St Margarets Hill.
