2. Partly dating from C15. 3 storeys. Coursed rubble. Modern pantile roof. 3 wooden casements with glazing bars on 2nd floor. 3 sashes in plain reveals, no glazing bars on 1st floor. Modern shop front and doorway on ground floor. To right of shop front is an original 4-centred arch doorway with moulded jambs and original door with surface tracery and ornamental iron knocker. The corner elevation shows a projecting chimney flue in diminishing stages with offsets and surmounted by tall ashlar stack.
All listed buildings in The Shambles form a group with King's Arms Hotel, Nos 2, 5 and 6 Coppice Hill, Nos 27 to 29 (consec) Silver Street and No 2 Kingston Road.
