2. Contiguous with No 1 and part of row of late C17/early C18 houses which continue from the north end of Town Bridge round into Market Street. Nos 2 and 3 have been partly altered in C19. 3 storeys. Coursed rubble with freestone dressings. Ashlar quoins set in walls at each point of curvature of the front. 3 gables with tiled roofs coming down to eaves between them. Square chimney stacks. 3 pairs of single lights in gables with mullions and moulded surrounds. Stringcourse under gable window to No 3. 5 sash windows to first floor, glazing bars intact only to No 3. Modern shop-front with ground-floor stringcourse to right for No 2. C19 shop front to No 3, with moulded entablature over round-headed doorway with keystone to left, and wooden shop-window divided into 3 with plain fascia to right.
Nos 1 to 3 (consec) form a group.
