SUTTON VENY No 114 Norton Road ST 84 SE 3/240 Huntsmans Lodge

Estate cottage. Dated 1860 over door, for Everett family of Sutton Veny House (q.v.). Painted dressed limestone, Welsh slate roof, gable end ashlar stacks. Single storey and attic, 3-windowed; casements. Central 2-storey porch with planked door in shouldered architrave with hoodmould, either side is 3-light mullioned casement with shouldered lights and hoodmoulds. Upper floor of porch has one shouldered light with hoodmoulds, either side is full dormer with coped verge and 2-light mullioned casement with shouldered lights and hoodmoulds, bottle glass lozenge decoration to gables. Coped verge to roof. Single storey rear wing with Welsh slate roof and C20 casements. Interior not inspected. Good example of estate cottage
