Details
CHITTERNE CHITTERNE ROAD ST 94 SE (east side) 4/6 Gateway at The Gatehouse (formerly listed with St Andrew's 11.9.68 Chapel) GV II Gateway and attached walls. Probably circa 1600. Limestone gateway, attached walls are banded flint and limestone with moulded coping. Gateway has semi-circular headed archway with moulded imposts and keystone, moulded cornice to crowning feature with square niche below segmental pediment, fluted pilasters and double scrolls. Cast-iron double gates probably C19.
