Details
CHITTERNE CHITTERNE ROAD ST 94 SE (west side) 4/18 Manor Farm House GV II Farmhouse, now detached house. Circa 1870. Banded flint and limestone, concrete tiled roof with saddleback coped verges and stone stacks with moulded cappings. L-plan. Two-storey, 3- window. Central 6-panelled door in Tudor-arched moulded surround, 3-light mullioned and transomed casement with hoodmould either side. Three gabled half-dormers with 2-light mullioned casements and hoodmoulds. Left and right returns have cross window to ground floor and 2-light mullioned casement to first. Two-span roof rear wing has 2-light and 3-light mullioned casements with hoodmoulds and Tudor-arched doorway to south side, north side has half-glazed C20 door and casement, 2-light mullioned casements to half-dormers. Included as good example of carefully detailed Victorian farmhouse in this village.
