Details
CODFORD HIGH STREET, Codford St Peter ST 93 NE (south side) 7/70 Nos 112 (Stable Cottage) and 113 11.9.68 GV II Two semi-detached cottages. C17, rebuilding probably recorded by datestone over door inscribed IC/1722. Dressed limestone with chamfered plinth, tiled roof with coped verge to right and hip to left, brick stacks. L-plan, through passage to rear of stack. Two-storey, 4-window. Six-panelled door to centre and another to left, two 2-light casements either side of central doorway with oval datestone over. First floor with four 2-light casements, masonry of first floor probably C18. Rear has 3-light and 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements and C20 casements to brick and rubble stone rear wing; entrance to No 112 on east side of wing. Interior not accessible at time of survey (March 1987).
