Details
STOCKTON HIGH STREET ST 93 NE (north side) 7/121 No 40 GV II Detached cottage. Circa 1860. Stucco, single-Roman tiled roof with brick stacks. Two-storey, 3-window. Planked door with gabled canopy with cusped barge boards to right of centre, 2-light steel casement to right with hexagonal leading, canted bay with similar casements and a 2-light steel and leaded casement to left. Attic has large gable to left of centre with 3-light casement, smaller gables to either side with 2-light casements, all with cusped barge boards. Lean-to garage attached to right return. Left return has single-light steel and leaded casement to ground floor. Rear with wooden C20 casements. Good example of late C19 estate cottage in this village, restored with steel casements to original design in 1970s.
