Details
CHELSWORTH THE STREET 1. 5377 (north side) No 92 (Weavers Cottage) TL 94 NE 37/237 26.7.77 II GV 2. A timber-framed and plastered building comprising a C15 hall block, originally standing at right angles to the road and a later 2 storeyed addition to the east, making it an L shaped plan. Casement windows with glazing bars. The older block has 2 ranges of small arched windows with 5 lights, on either side of a modern casement window. There is also a blocked original window of 3 lights on the interior, with arched lights and carved sill. A central 4-panel door has architrave and cornice. Roof tiled with a central chimney stack. The interior has a moulded crown post in the hall block and Tudor door heads.
