BOXFORD ELLIS STREET 1. 5377 (south side) No 3 (Riverhall) TL 9640 60/113 23.1.58 II GV 2. A C16-C17 timber-framed and plastered building with a cross wing at the north-west end. Considerably altered and added to in the C18 when a bay was added to the north-west end. Two storeys. Four window range on the front and 2 window range on each of the gable ends. Double-hung sashes with glazing bars. A 6-panel door has a wood doorcase with deep reveals, pilasters and a moulded cornice on enriched brackets surmounted by a scroll head. Roof tiled, with a modillion eaves cornice which is carried round the gable of the cross wing. A wing extends to the rear with a C16-C17 chimney stack with 4 octogagonal shafts on a square base.
