1. MARKET HILL 1692 (North Side) Town Hall TL 8741 3/98 3.3.52.
II GV
2. Built l828 by Thomas Ginn of Sudbury. 2 storey and basement. Suffolk brick with front stuccoed. Front has 3 window range, sash with glazing bars. Centre ground floor breaks forward carrying 4 Ionic columns surmounted by pediment. The Borough Arms were carved in the pediment. Interior: hall at lst floor with enriched plaster cornice.
The Town Hall and Archway of former gaol, Gaol Lane form a group. Nos 1 to 6 (consec) and 8 to 22 (consec), Black Boy Hotel, and the Town Hall form a group.
