Lode Close and attached Outbuilding.

II

Farmhouse and attached agricultural building. Remodelled mid-Cl9 but
incorporating some earlier fabric. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar
quoins and dressings; clay tile roof with coped verges; coursed and
squared rubble integral end stacks. House to East and slightly recessed
attached agricultural building to West. House: 2 storeys and gable
lit attic; 2 windows, glazing bar sashes in raised surrounds; central
door with straight dripstone. Agricultural building: Loft opening to
right; loft ventilation loop to left. Rear (West) Elevation: House:
Slightly irregular fenestration; ground floor windows to left and right;
first floor windows to left of centre and right, glazing bar sashes, those
to right have straight dripstones. Limestone quoins to right, centre, and
lower part of left hand corner suggest that an earlier single cell building

quoins and dressings. Agricultural building: Blocked door to ground floor
left; loft ventilation loop to right.
