At south west corner of the lane, at Junction with Queen Street. Large
square building, originally the Old Whitehaven Bank. Stone, with quoins,
2 storeys. A Tuscan doorway with cornice and pediment; 4 windows on ground
floor and 5 above, in moulded architraves. 2 cornice strings between
storeys, the upper one forming the sills of the upper Windows. The facade
facing Queen Street has 4 similar windows on each floor. A small square
wing on west end has another doorway (numbered 10) with moulded architrave,
and pediment on console brackets.
