Hydraulic power house. Late C19. Red brick with slate roof. Single storey with central accumulator tower having 3 recessed panels, each with a boarded segmental-headed opening. 3 windows to right; 2 windows (one blocked to left). Ridge ventilator to right. Lower 3 window range with central stack to left. Right gable end has inserted C20 door with roller shutter cutting through two windows; 3 windows in left gable end. This hydraulic power house complete with its engine rooms and characteristic accumulator tower would have provided power for elevators etc in the nearby LMS grain store (q.v) and for capstans in the extehsive Wetmore sidings where the brewery companies private networks for the most part connected with the main line.
