Road bridge. Probably C16 with later alterations. Red brick and ashlar. Seven semi-circular arches spanning the River Tame, the central one large, the arches are flanked by cutwaters carried up as buttresses, those flanking the central arch incorporates refuges, parapet band to plain parapet. Elford bridge (west) now straddles the remains of an ox-bow lake, the former course of the river, it was replaced in the C18 by Elford Bridge (east) (q.v. Elford C.P.) when the river changed its course.
