History
North Walsham is a medieval market town that grew wealthy from the trade of wool and cloth. The town was largely rebuilt following a fire in 1600 but remained a significant market centre into the Industrial Revolution.
Number 3 was built as a house in the mid-C19. The house was converted into apartments in the late C20.

The building is two-storeys high and covered in lined and painted stucco over a rendered plinth.
The ground floor has two pairs of ‘four-over-one’ sash windows. Between these two pairs of windows is an entranceway with a rusticated surround and a fanlight. On the left hand side is a shop front, with a dentil cornice, a recessed doorway, and flanking pilasters.
The first-floor has three further pairs of ‘four-over-one’ sash windows.
Numbers 3, 7 and 15 King’s Arms Street form a group.
