Details
1. 5389 BOUSLEY LANE Ottershaw Barn at Bousley Farm TQ 06 NW 5/165 II.
2. Barn. Early-mid C17, altered, probably in C18 when apparently extended by one bay on the South. Timber-framed and weather boarded on high red brick plinth. Centre bay of original structure with projecting gabled porch to east with doubled wagon-doors and wagon-doors to west. Lean-to outshut to east. Interior: 4 bays since C18 with heavily jowled posts and curved braces to tie-beams and curved wall braces except in bay at South end, which has wall framing of thinner scantling; mortises for former end ::wall in tie beam between third and fourth bays from North. Queen post roof; wall framing of thinner scantling in lower wall compartments of Northern 3 bays also.
