9/10000 OLD SUNDAY SCHOOL
Grade II
School. Founded 1772; facade rebuilt after 1835. Limestone rubble with brick facade; gabled slate roof with brick left end stack. Rectangular plan. One storey and attic; 4-window range, with large gatted half-dormer to right. Wooden posts support lean-to to front of two plank doors. 2 light Tudor arched stone-mullioned windows with sunk spandrels and diamond- latticed cames. Lean-to with pantile roof to rear. Interior noted as having C19 features. Mentioned in a deed of 1835 as a Sunday School for the poor children of the parish.
