Shown as Post Office on Ordnance Survey map.
House. Datestone 1588 and 1730. Squared coursed limestone with ashlar gable end
and Collyweston slate roof. Originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys with attic. 3
bays. 2-window range of tall C19 casements, under wood lintels, at first floor.
3-window range at ground floor with 2 sash windows with glazing bars to left and
casement to right, all under wood lintels. Plank door to centre under wood
lintel and door opening, now window, to far right. 3 gabled roof dormers with
C20 windows. Ashlar gable parapets and kneelers and ashlar stacks at ends. Right
gable abuts road and has C20 casements in original openings under stone lintels
with keyblock. Ground floor window has a later wood lintel below the stone
lintel. Datestone depicting an animal has 2 dates. Lateral ashlar stack and C19
lean-to building to rear. Interior not inspected but noted as having spine beams
and remains of open fireplace.
