Details
BARNWELL THURNING ROAD TL08SE (South side) 12/43 North Lodge Farmhouse II -
Farmhouse. Early C19. Brick with slate roof. L-shape plan. 3 storeys. Main front is a 3-window range. Central 6-panel door under gauged brick head with keyblock. Late C19 sash windows, in original openings, also under gauged brick heads with keyblocks. Ashlar gable parapets and kneelers and brick stacks at ends. One-unit, 2-storey, range attached to right is similar. Rear wing is similar. Interior: entrance hall has early C19 staircase with stick balustrade and 2 reeded wood pilasters at first floor landing. Panelled window reveals and remains of open fireplace in kitchen area. Probably built from locally made bricks. Drawn by George Clarke 1846. (Northamptonshire Records Office - Pictorial Collection)
