Railway station now disused. c1845 by W. Livock. Limestone ashlar with slate roof laid to a diagonal pattern. Shallow U-shape plan. 2 storeys. Entrance front of 3 bays with flanking bays breaking forward as gabled cross wings . Central , square-head, doorway with moulded stone surround, hood mould and C19 panelled door. Gabled porch, to centre of left gable has doorway with 4-centred arch head outer and moulded stone surround. Window openings to left and right and above central door and to projecting gables, all temporarily blocked, have chamfered stone surrounds with hood moulds. Window to first floor right breaks forward as a shallow oriel with a 2-light stone mullion window, the bottom lights of which are blind. Castellated decoration to window head. First floor centre window has gablet over. Ashlar gable parapets and kneelers with bases of apex finials. Lateral ashlar stack to return of right gable has stepped corbelling and 2 octagonal flues. Similar lateral stack to left side elevation and similar ridge stack to left. Lean-to buildings to left and right are probably c1845. Elevation to platform, to rear of entrance front, has 3 gables each with square-head window opening similar to entrance front. Centre window is a shallow square-head oriel. Range of 7 windows and doors at ground floor, all temporarily blocked, have chamfered stone surrounds. Ashlar gable parapets and kneelers; gable to left has finial. Platform canopy removed.
